Q & A
Tell us about yourself?
I have two children, both girls. They are exactly one year a part and share a birthday. My oldest is nineteen months and youngest is seven months. We recently moved to Las Vegas in October so we are still getting familiar with the area. I am currently a stay at home mother but will be starting to work for Dignity Health as a medical office representative this month!
What is your biggest challenge as a mom?
My biggest challenge as a mom would be overcoming postpartum depression and anxiety. Alongside that, I struggle to maintain the tidiness of our house. I’ve learned to accept it as what it is because it only shows how "well-lived in" it is.
What is your favorite part about being a mom?
My favorite part of being a mom is all the giggles, laughs, and tickles. I love watching my girls grow and seeking all the new things they learn everyday. My girls are my pride and joy.
What advice would you give to new moms?
My advice to a new mom is to take it day by day. They grow so fast as it is, and what works for you one day may not work for another. Same as advice! What works for one mother may not work for another. Don't let social media get in the way of your feelings and thoughts on parenting, always stick to your gut! You've got this momma!!
Anyone who you would you like to thank that has helped you through motherhood?
I would love to thank my mother and fiancé for helping me along this journey, my mother gave me the resources to get the help I needed with postpartum depression and anxiety. My fiancé has given me so much support and compassion through our journey of pregnancies and postpartum. They truly are my saviors.
